This image not only represents the myth of Coyote stealing fire to save humankind, but also represents personal imagery for myself. This coyote has been to the dark places; it's colored her coat and feet. But she's emerged with the fires of knowledge.

Spot illustration done for PayMaster Games featuring a Kalku; an evil shaman of Mapuche folklore whose main weapons are dead children possessed by lightning spirits and a mutant flying head monster (which is actually the severed head of another Kalku). This is the second flying head monster I’ve drawn. I had no idea it was such a common thing in mythology!

For the ancient Mayans, serpents were intensely powerful beings. A common image in their art depicts a serpent rising from a blood offering, an ancestral being emerging from it's mouth. I was to design a naga-like creature based on this concept; hence the warrior looking like he's in the snake's mouth.

I lost a friend yesterday.
He was the guy who inspired my "Bunny Hops Beer" painting, based off a silly night at a bar in Atlanta with him. I probably wouldn't have my job with Mad Rabbit Distillery if it wasn't for that Bunny Hops Beer painting - it inspired them to make their whole series of labels based off of it.
I would sneak into Rick's office whenever I was at Greg's work place and draw the cutest bunny I could muster in dry erase marker on his white board (and see how long it would take for him to notice it... he'd always instantly notice). I was told he'd preserve the bunny doodle for as long as possible, until I would eventually replace it with a new one.
I drew one last bunny for him after I heard the news that he was gone.
I'm really going to miss him.
Quote is from Watership Down.

Being able to tell you the species, range, diet, and specific habits of any living beast on the face of Azeroth and Draenor, Kalhoun is the equivalent of what many people would call a “geek.” When not out on missions, much of his free time is occupied by teaching gigantic, dangerous creatures cute tricks. In fact, the uglier and more hostile the creature, the more Kalhoun is certain to be enthralled by it.
Beyond his Hunteriffic pursuits, he is an accomplished Engineer, often employed to repair machines of war or other such gizmos (adding in his own “improvements” of course).
Though his social skills are awkward at best, Kalhoun carries himself with a very “CAN DO” attitude.

My submission for the 2016 Werewolf Calendar!
My assignment was to depict werewolf spirituality in a Springtime setting. Because spring is a time where life sprouts from death I wanted to explore that sort of transitional symbolism - the moon alongside the skull of one of its ancestors adorned with flowers. The werewolf is also speaking with the spirits of the deceased, as well as of Nature, through reading the way the dogwood petals are falling into the water.
